Professor of Distributed Systems

Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, with its two campus locations in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort, is a university deeply rooted in the Lower Rhine and connected to the world. Our 7,300 students, who represent more than 120 different nationalities, breathe life into our state-of-the-art classrooms and lecture halls, libraries, language courses, canteens, and residence halls.

The Hochschule für Gesundheit was founded in November 2009. The educational institution is the first state university for healthcare professions in Germany. It offers undergraduate degree programmes in occupational therapy, midwifery, speech therapy, nursing, physiotherapy as well as the "Health and Diversity" degree programme and Bachelor's degree programme "Health and Social Space". The first Master's degree programme in "Evidence-based Health Care" was launched in the winter semester 2015/16. Technische Hochschule Wildau - Technical University of Applied Sciences (“TH Wildau” for short) opened its doors in 1991. Today there are about 3,300 students, ensuring that the university still keeps its familiar atmosphere. On a modern and compact campus located on the outskirts of Berlin, aspiring academics enjoy an ideal environment for their studies in a range of disciplines covering the natural sciences, engineering, economics, law, business administration and management. The practical orientation of our degree programmes is one of our distinctive characteristics. Since 2001, TH Wildau has been among the strongest research universities in Germany. Academics are working in over 40 research groups dealing with the latest topics in applied and fundamental research. 

Degree Program Development, Research and Transfer, Advisor 

The University Alliance Ruhr (HAR) is an association of three universities of applied sciences in the Ruhr area. By establishing the HAR, the Hochschule Bochum, the Fachhochschule Dortmund and the Westfälische Hochschule agreed to organize under one umbrella various project-correlated cooperations that exist and proved successful since 2005. The idea is to intermesh existing cooperations even stronger, expand them and conjointly further professionalize the strategic management. The goal is to identify and develop innovation potential for a structured, inter-university cooperation. More specifically, activities in the fields of research support, internationalization, and scientific education are organized coordinately by the HAR. The association is funded by the Stiftung Mercator.
