GACC Midwest Annual Gala

Workforce development is a cornerstone of GACC Midwest's mission. To mark 60 years of GACC Midwest, the creation of the German American Apprenticeship & Education Foundation was announced at the 2023 German American Business Awards. And while the Business Awards aren't going anywhere, stay tuned for announcements about their new format.

This year for the first time, on October 18 we celebrated an unforgettable evening under the stars at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago! Our first annual Fundraiser Gala furthered the foundation's goal of supporting the creation and expansion of high-quality apprenticeship pathways in the US.

On October 18, 2024, we came together for an evening of elegance and philanthropy to make a difference: A three-course dinner and live entertainment, networking with high-ranking professionals and industry leaders in the German American business community, and exciting live and silent auctions were the highlights for this special evening.

This year, we're proud to present the gala with the theme "Shoot for the Stars," symbolizing our commitment to reaching new heights in sustainable workforce development in the US.

Adding to the 700+ young people and graduates already served within our flagship ICATT & MAT2 Apprenticeship Programs, this year more than 100 new apprentices will enter their debt-free career pathways – and we are proud of each and every one of them!
